How to Apply for Scholarships

One thing our scholarship recipients invariably say is, "Wow, I can't believe how easy it was to apply!" It's a quick and simple two-step process. First you fill out a financial aid form known as the FAFSA. Then you can immediately go to STARS, which is a website with descriptions and applications for every scholarship we offer. You can apply for any scholarship you qualify for, and we will also take a look to see if there are any others you might have missed. Even if you don't qualify for Financial Aid, you can qualify to receive one of our scholarships. Not all of our scholarships are based on financial need.

We will notify you by email whether or not you have qualified for anything. If you're awarded a scholarship, you will receive the contract by email. Once you've signed the contract and written a thank-you note to the donor, mail them both to us. You're ready to receive your well-deserved funds. Both the FAFSA and STARS sites will walk you through the process, and let you know what forms are required, such as transcripts and the "G-number" which is provided when you apply to San Jacinto College. Plus, we're always here at the Foundation office to help you.
