The mission of San Jacinto College is to do everything possible to help students succeed in reaching their goals. The Foundation shares this mission and plays a vital role in fulfilling it. Often, the barrier standing in the way of a potential student’s goals is money. We exist to help tear that barrier down.
It all started in 1996, when a group of citizens from the area got together with an idea for bettering our community through education. They wanted to make sure that no aspiring individual would be denied the opportunity to go to college for lack of financial means. Since then the Foundation has made good on the intentions of its founders. To date we have awarded more than 4,900 scholarships and faculty grants, and we continue to expand the opportunities offered to our students. We will never rest in our efforts to do more, and help more individuals succeed.

The San Jacinto College Foundation will be one of the most successful community college Foundations in Texas - characterized by a strong, committed Foundation Board able to attract resources to support student success programs and services.
