Fall 2010

695 students started the STARS application process, of those:

  • 284 completed the application and were considered for scholarships
  • 165 applicants were awarded scholarships
  • 175 scholarships were awarded
  • 7 students declined the scholarships (i.e., not enrolled, attending another college)
  • 8 students did not submit the signed contract and thank you note so did not receive the award (this was after repeated attempts to contact via phone, email and letter)
  • 151 students were awarded scholarships
  • $125,675 awarded with the average award $761.67
  • $116,475 accepted with the average award $776.50
